Praise Report 2011 - 01

I have been feeling sluggish, and tired since last month. It might be because of the weight gain or from the stress from work. So I prefer to stay at home and just laze around. Yes I know it's unproductive and unhealthy but that was how I was feeling.

Last Sunday, Pastor P said a prayer of healing for the whole congregation. I dont know why but I just couldn't stop crying. While tears flow from my eyes, I kept thanking the Lord Jesus and claiming healing for my body & mind and spirit.

Pastor P said to place our hand to the area were we felt pain, I was not sure where to put it becasue I felt my whole self needed healing :-) but I placed it on my womb while thinking of the other symptoms I was feeling. Immediately I felt warmth over my whole body while feeling a cold breeze also. I know I was healed that time. The pain on my left lower back (for days) was gone, my sprained right ankle was feeling better, and in my heart I know my monthly visitor ( who has not been visiting me for 4-5 months already) will visit me soon!, and best of all, i felt energize and saw that life is indeed beautiful again!

Pastor asked the congregation to make a big wave for those who received healing and happily made a big waved. He also mentioned that there is someone in the congregation who was having a pain in the lower left part of the back (showed where it was) is now healed. I knew he was talking about me.

Thank you Jesus for shedding your blood at the cross for my healing. Thank you for sending people to remind us of how much you love us. Thank you.

This past few months, it felt like I have nothing to thank about but ofcourse it's not true! I am very much thankful for my family & friends, our health and well being, my job and the lists goes on...

One specific praise report I want to share is regarding my job. For the past month, I have been conducting trainings to our staffs on an application that I am still studying myself. My confidence level to teach is low plus the stress and pressure from the boss's. I have been praying and asking people to pray for me on this. Last week, was a very busy week, every day I have trainings scheduled both morning and afternoon sessions. The last session for the week had an added pressure because our CEO and some of the "not so friendly" staffs were attending.

I prepared my materials the night before, farmed a little (I need a break of course...hehehe) and prayed before sleeping. The next day, I woke up late! Panic a little...but remembered to pray and to trust in him with ALL my heart and that He is in control...

Arrived in the office, did the set up, prayed and reviewed some of the topics I felt that the Lord is leading me to take note.

Show time! Had some minor difficulties with my projector but the training went smoothly, the topics that I reviewed last minute was the answers to the questions that was raised in the during the training then the evaluation forms were filled up after the session. All marks were good & very good! (di sa pag bubuhat ng sariling bangko hehehe...) but the cherry on the cake was the staff that I was wary of making the training difficult and giving me negative marks commented "very good" not only to me but to other people as well.

To explain further the miracle on this...hahaha this girl lives to make my life miserable ( well not just mine hehehe) last time when I was dealing with her hehehe... That day, she gave me very good marks, smiled and wave at me when we pass by (as if we're BFF) and told others that the training was very good. It was such a surprise and I can truly say that it's a miracle hehehe

It was really Jesus's work...All praises and glory to Him! To all those who prayed with me...Thank you very much!

Tickets were pre book soooo early by the time sister S checked the website of our fave cinema (actually we like the nachos they serve hahahaha...) all the good seats has been taken. As the saying goes...never give up! Try and try until you succeed hehehe...so sister S tried and was able to book us 3 tickets with not so bad seats hahaha.

Boy have they all grown hehehe... The effects is getting better and better since they have shown the 1st movie. Sad that Dumbledore has to die... :)

I haven't posted for quite some time... I just can't type my thoughts into words hahaha

June was a quiet month at work. From the back to back trainings last month, I thank God for the rest hehehe... I had my own training (which was long overdue). It was good and I learned a lot. Hoping to able to use it with my trainings this coming months.

My mojo was so high and was able to scrap 9 LOs. I'm Happy with the results. My usual white space and flowers and buttons. What's new is that I've been doing handcutting & tearing in most of my LOs! unsual for me and really tested my patience hahaha

Gym? nah....I've been trying and planning to go but nope...I was not able to do so... As my friend says...It takes diligence, determination & patience! Looking forward to the gym this month though. With 2 of my colleagues joining, it should be fun :D

Harry Potter is showing on the 16th! I guess everybody has booked their tickets early coz when Sister S tried booking, no more good seats left! My friend is trying to book from a different cinema...we'll see if she's be able to get good seats hehehe

I'm experiencing a new feeling...It's really good! I hope it last though hahaha... I use to feel like a zombie. For the first time in a veeeerrry long time, I'm not sleepy! hahaha...well thats thanks to my veeeeryyy long sleep yesterday. Some people might think that it's too much to the point of laziness? *LOL* but I think it's what my body needed. Today I woke up feeling refreshed, I did not sleep on my way to work and I don't feel sleepy at all. Wow! It's really a good feeling :-)

Well I'm going to put this good feeling into use and go back to work hahaha...

Don't Ever Give Up! -- a msg for the tough times

One day I decided to quit...
I quit my job, my relationship, my spirituality... in fact I wanted to quit my life. I went to the woods to have one last talk with God. "God", I asked, "Can you give me one good reason not to quit?"

His answer surprised me...

"Look around", He said. "Do you see the fern and the bamboo?"
"Yes", I replied.
"When I planted the fern and the bamboo seeds, I took very good care of them. I gave them light. I gave them water. The fern quickly grew from the earth. Its brilliant green covered the floor. Yet nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo.

In the second year the Fern grew more vibrant and plentiful. And again, nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo. He said. "In year three there was still nothing from the bamboo seed. But I would not quit.

In year four, again, there was nothing from the bamboo seed. I would not quit." He said. "Then in the fifth year a tiny sprout emerged from the earth. Compared to the fern it was seemingly small and insignificant. ..

But just 6 months later the bamboo rose to over 100 feet tall. It had spent the five years growing roots. Those roots made it strong and gave it what it needed to survive.
I would not give any of my creations a challenge it could not handle."
He asked me. "Did you know, my child, that all this time you have been struggling, you have actually been growing roots"? "I would not quit on the bamboo. I will never quit on you." "Don't compare yourself to others."

He said. "The bamboo had a different Purpose than the fern.
Yet they both make the forest beautiful." "Your time will come", God said to me. "You will rise high"
"How high should I rise?" I asked.
"How high will the bamboo rise?" He asked in return.
"As high as it can?" I questioned.
"Yes." He said, "Give me glory by rising as high as you can."

I left the forest and brought back this story.
I hope these words can help you see that God will never give up on you.

Yesterday a friend msg me if I want to watch a movie. I immediately said sure, then asked which one she wants to watch. When she said "Confession of a Shopaholic", I suddenly hesitated hehehe. Reason being is that I tried to read the book but was not able to even read up to chapter 2 hahaha...It was just too familiar *LOL* Anyway, we booked a ticket for 7:10pm show and agreed to meet at the mall. It was so hilarious and feel good that I'm glad I watched it. There's this line that her dad told her about her debt. " The world has so many debts, and it still survives, you can survive this" hehehe...So for all those who are having debt problems...cheer up! It can be hard but you already know the solution, just do it! You'll survive also hehehe...

New Year 2009

Time flies…I promised myself that this year I will be more diligent in updating my blog…oh well…I guess the saying promises are made to be broken is true to this case hahaha…

January came & gone…I went home to Philippines 31 December 08. Celebrated New Year with the family, Yey! It was such a blast to be home again. Making me wish I can stay and don’t go back.

I attended my college friends wedding (Malou & Ejet) at Tagaytay. They asked me to be a secondary sponsor and ofcourse I said “Yes”. I witness their lovestory from the start and it’s really touching to see them finally tie the knot. Best Wishes to both of you! Hope to see little Ejet or Malou soon! Hehehe…

Before I know it, it’s time to go back to reality…Papa & mama sent me off to the airport…after checking so early and waiting for so long for boarding, the airline had overbooked my flight and had to off load some of us. Well the good thing is, the hotel they check us in was good and I have a free round trip ticket valid for 1 year…woohoo!

Work is good…new things to learn & do. Though I still receive some of those annoying emails from let’s not mention them *LOL*. Thank God I won’t have to deal with them anymore.

I met a new friend. I find her really cool. Her attitude and outlook in life is something I admire in a person. She’s Pro Active and Go Getter. You will just feel this high energy when she’s around. Her work is also very interesting. God willing I will get to experience it someday…*wink*

And yes, I joined the gym! Another New Year resolution (I hope I can keep!). After trying the sexy hip hop/Latin class and psyching my self…I signed up *LOL*. I will definitely update it in this blog of any improvements *LOL*

Nothing really big was planned during the CNY holiday. Sleep, eat…sleep some more…hahaha just kidding…I met up with Cute#1 & Mader L to discuss the preparation for the party that we are organizing. The theme is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Guess what? The mom’s budget is $5K! Oh well…some people are really loaded and willing to spend it on their child’s 1st birthday party.

Sister S has been telling me to read this series on vampires since last year I think but I told her I'm not interested. Vampires are just not my kind of thing. Well surprise surprise! When I watched the movie, I fell in love with Edward! So yes, I'm reading the book now and I can't wait for the next movie!

I was walking along Orchard road last night and couldn't believe that it's going to be Christmas soon! I was so caught up with work that I didn't realize that it's already 3/4 of the "ber" month. I was living one day at a time and just forgot about dates & time...

This is how Orchard road looks like at night now.

But this is what strucked me most. I had to cross the street and take a picture of this *wink* It is a good reminder to all that no matter what situation we are in, "With God, all things are possible!"

I have been in twighlight zone for the past month. Feeling lost and blue. I thank God for the people that he sent my way to encourage and pull me out of this state.

Today is a new day...I told myself to snap out of it and FOCUS. Take one step at a time and you'll reach that goal in God's perfect time.

I'm feeling blue this past few days because of the people I work with. Work itself is not hard and is manageable but I reaally can't take the attitude of some of my colleagues. I am not perfect and I'm sure I do not please everybody but really...I cannot take it!

I get sleepless nights becasue of the anxiety of going to work and the thought of what I have to deal everyday. I know I know...If you can't take the heat...get out! Simple as that. I WISH!

O well, enough about my complaints... on the brighter side of life...

I'm so HAPPY my Papa & Mama are here with us! Just having them physical here is a great comfort to me :-) I wish they will stay longer or better yet...we'll all be together again :-)

I was going through my old pictures and I came across this one and made me miss my long hair :-) I had my long hair (waist length) cut last February this year to my very short hair hehehe. With my hairstyle now I cannot do much...really just wash and go which is good for me also hahaha

I miss wearing my Php100 roundneck "GAP" shirts also. Due to my love of food...I cannot wear them "for now". I am still hoping that I can lose this EXTRA pounds that I gained since I joined my current company *LOL*

Naughty by Nature

A couple of weeks ago I received a call from "Naughty by Nature"for a free photoshoot. I got excited coz I heard so many good reviews about the studio but was also having second thoughts if I have time to do it.

The Offer: A free make over and they will take about 50 shots of you in 2 different setting. 1is wearing casual clothes and the other is either a formal or in "custome". After the photoshooot you get to choose 2 of your favorite and they will burn it in a cd and give it to you free.

The Catch: After you have chosen your 2 favorite pictures, they will sell you a package worth S3K++.

The package was really good and sounds very worth it for its price. I was really interested and very tempted to take it. Unfortunately they only offer it on the spot and I cannot decide if I really want to spend $3K++ on photos!!! With the installment package that they offer, the price was reasonable but still...$3K++ on photos? hahaha...

All in all the experience was good (except for the hard selling part).

Rainbow After the Rain

This past past couple of months has been a tough one. I had to attend to too many "bullys" and there's just no pleasing them. Everyday I would pray for this project to be finished already because I just want to move on. I was so stressed with all the pressure from my boss, people who "feel" that they are my boss and with my personal "struggles" of the month but God is so good that he didn't let things to just finish because I prayed it would and that I'm not comfortable and having a hard time.

He even let this project to be behind time for me to remember that...

He will never leave me nor forsake me
I can do all things, through Christ who strengthens me
God is so BIG and my problems are so small to him
Nothing is impossible with God
Let Go and Let God

and to learn that...

My boss can irritating and unreasonable sometimes but he cares and can be very understanding also.
God sends champions to defend you from the bully's of the world in the form of "lola" hehehe

and gain...

I still pray for this project to end now but I'm not so stressed anymore and can now appreciate the rainbow after the rain.

It was a typical Sunday for our family. Go to church, eat lunch, look around, then go home. What made this Sunday special is that it's my Mama's birthday :-)

The funny thing is...almost from the minute we left the parking lot in our home, everything went haywire...but God is good! Everything was fixed and the day turned out happy one :-)

I thank the Lord for giving us a wonderful & great Mother. One who sacrifice her happiness for our happines, always there to support us in all our endeavors, patiently prays for our safety wherever we go.

Ejet and I were reminiscing the "good old days" when we realized that the last time we saw each other was 7 years ago. It was the time when we were all staying in Manila and was studying for the board exams.

Life is Beautiful! My mom and younger sister is here. I am so happy. I miss them so much when I left for Singapore 2 years ago. Ready for a new adventure, I was excited to travel and live in a different country for the first time. As times passes, I realized...life can be very sad when you are far from your loveones...no matter how much excited I was living independently I miss them. I miss my mom nagging me to go on a diet & lose weight. I miss my sister's very aristocratic face, I miss my dad's loud voice, I miss my younger brother's quiet smile, I miss my older brother's silent concern. I miss my bestfriends energy. I can say that family is the basic unit of the society. It is where we first learn our values and get our character. They are the people who will mold us to become a better person. They are the only people who will love you for who you are no matter what you have done in the past and what you will do in the future. They will support you in all your endeavors. Sometimes they are againts it and might not show that they support you but actually they are just there...quietly, patiently waiting to cheer for you when you succeed or lend their shoulder when you fail. I'm dreading the day that my mom and sister have to go back home. I will surely miss them. I don't say it often but I love them and I appreciate all the things that they do, enjoy the time that we spend with each other, the quiet moments we share. This 2 months is priceless! I can't wait for our whole family to be together again.
